A certified foresight practitioner, decolonial design futurist, and TED Speaker, Dr. Bea Rodriguez-Fransen currently serves as Arizona State University’s (ASU) Director of Next Lab Imaginarium, where she facilitates ideation, design, and futures thinking sessions to encourage bold imagination and co-creation of equitable futures and humane technology with students, staff, faculty, and various partners.
A fundraising professional, Dr. Rodriguez-Fransen has raised millions of dollars for various organizations in Illinois, Arizona, and the Philippines over the past two decades. She also serves as a global research team member of the Colorism Research Institute, a member of the Design Justice Network, and a Senior Scholar for ASU’s Global Futures Network, which comprises 800+ researchers from a spectrum of disciplines who are accelerating the pace of discovery and making a meaningful contribution to ensuring a habitable planet and a future in which well-being is attainable for all humankind.
She enjoys lifting kettlebells, creative writing, and spending quality time with her beloved husband, son, and two dogs.
