Dr. Miriam Nkemnji-Enohnyaket is an assistant professor in the graduate and undergraduate programs and serves as the RN-BSN program coordinator at Metro State University. She has 17 years of experience as a registered nurse (RN).
Prior to Metro State, Dr. Nkemnji-Enohnyaket worked at the Louisiana Office of Public Health, as an RN in acute care and long-term care settings and as director of nursing (DON) in assisted living. She brings a global perspective with a career in boundary spanning (long-term care, acute care, home health, public health, and academia).
Dr. Nkemnji-Enohnyaket has a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) degree from the University of Minnesota, a master’s degree from Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine, a bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) from Prairie View A&M University, and a bachelor’s degree from UW-Madison.
Dr. Nkemnji-Enohnyaket would like to be remembered as a female leader who formulated avenues for women to empower themselves by increasing their education, health status, and financial gains; who created impactful change in the lives of immigrants; and who improved the quality of life of the aging population during their remaining lifespan.
She is based in the Twin Cities with her husband, Pascal, and three children.
