Dr. Neha Mishra

Dr. Neha Mishra is Associate Professor of Law & Associate Dean at Jindal Global Law School, O.P. Jindal Global University, India. She has previously worked as Founding Director of School of Legal Studies at REVA University, Bangalore, India. She has actively provided pro bono legal assistance to marginalized women labor and street children in rural and urban setups. She has also conducted special training workshops for Police officers, Prosecutors as well as Judges and Magistrates in India.     
 

Her research work focuses on Human rights law, colorism, postcolonial feminist studies, gender & Child rights and its intersection. Her opinions and contributions can be seen in TIME magazine, BBC, Asia times, Huff Post, Times of India as well as international academic journals. Her latest edited book along with Dr. Ronald E. Hall is Routledge International Handbook of Colorism, which offers analytical and experiential voices against colorism throughout different continents.   
 

She has been part of important deliberations with field experts in different countries like USA (Washington University, St. Louis; School of Social Work, Michigan State University),  Russia (MSAL), American Embassy in India (2021), USAID (2022), and as Kalinga Fellow (2020-21) involving human rights, caste and race issues. She has also given Keynote addresses surrounding color-caste- gender in Global South in Pakistan and India for State Human Right Commissions and other organizations.
